## In short

A couple photoshoot in Shibuya costs from $220 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos, delivered within 3 days. We start around 7:30 am, when the scramble crossing is at its emptiest; an extra hour ($150) continues via Miyashita Park to Cat Street. Your own clothes suit it better than kimono, which has almost no rental shops here.

Shibuya is usually pictured at night, but two people are easier to see in the frame when the crossing holds dozens rather than thousands. Between seven and eight in the morning commuters cross in loose lines, the screens are already running and the light is flat and even. The base half-hour is for the crossing; with an extra hour it continues as a quiet walk north towards Harajuku, where the session turns from city to something closer and softer.

## How the shoot is planned

First the crossing: one of you leads the other by the hand across the stripes, shot from the station corner, then the same walk again with the two of you side by side. With fewer people we can also frame you against the screens with nobody in between. With an extra hour, it is then a five-minute walk to Miyashita Park, where you sit on the lawn as Yamanote trains pass at eye level. The final twenty minutes are on Cat Street, the car-free lane towards Omotesando: low buildings, trees and closed shutters give soft portraits and slow walking frames with no shoppers yet.

## Timing

Weekdays at 7:30 am are the sweet spot; on Sundays the crossing is quiet until about nine, but Cat Street fills sooner. Miyashita Park’s rooftop opens around 8 am, which sets the order. In late March to early April we can swap the park for Sakura-zaka behind the station for blossom. In July and August an early start is also the only cool hour of the day.

## What is included

- 15 edited photos
- One area, with the frames planned before the day
- Direction for couples who have never been photographed together
- Private online gallery within 3 days

- Shibuya Sky: Timed tickets roughly ¥2,000–3,400, sunset slots sell out weeks ahead. Tripods, selfie sticks and bags are banned on the open-air deck; professional shoots need the operator’s prior approval, so we treat this as a personal visit with light gear

## Frequently asked questions

### What does a couple shoot in Shibuya cost?

$220 for 30 minutes, with 15 edited photos in a private gallery within 3 days; Miyashita Park and Cat Street are an extra hour at $150. Hair and makeup can be added for $100; at a 7:30 start the artist meets you at your hotel beforehand.

### Is 7:30 am really necessary?

Not necessary, but every half hour later adds people at the crossing and on Cat Street. If you prefer the evening, book the night photoshoot instead; it is planned around the screens and the crowd rather than around space.

### Can we kiss or hug in the middle of the crossing?

Only while you keep walking with the flow. We plan a slow embrace on the kerb with the crossing behind you instead; stopping in the road is unsafe and the police will move you on.
