## In short

A photoshoot in Shibuya costs from $220 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos, delivered online within 3 days. The base session is the scramble crossing in blue hour; with an extra hour ($150) we start before sunset at Miyashita Park and walk via Nonbei Yokocho as its lanterns come on. It suits couples, friends and families alike.

If Shibuya is your one Tokyo shoot, the base half-hour gives you the crossing as the screens take over from the sky, and an extra hour before sunset adds two more versions of it: daylight with the Yamanote trains and paper lanterns in a post-war alley. All three sit within about ten minutes’ walk of the station, so the time is spent shooting, not travelling.

## How the shoot is planned

With the extra hour, Miyashita Park comes first, while there is daylight: the long rooftop lawn, the towers at its southern end, and a train in the background if we time it. Then we walk south along the tracks to Nonbei Yokocho, two narrow lanes of tiny bars. We photograph from the lane ends only, for a few minutes, while the bars are still quiet — many ask for no photos of their interiors and we never include customers. The crossing as the sky turns deep blue is the base half-hour on its own and the last stretch of the longer route: a walk-through from the station corner and a wider frame with the screens behind you.

## Timing

Sunset in Tokyo runs from about 4:30 pm in December to 7 pm in late June, so the start time moves with the season; we confirm it when you book. Late March to early April adds cherry blossom on Sakura-zaka, a short detour from the station. In rainy-season June the session still runs, and Nonbei Yokocho’s eaves give some shelter.

## What is included

- 15 edited photos
- One area, with the frames planned before the day
- Start time set for the light and crowds on your date
- Private online gallery within 3 days

- Shibuya Sky: Timed tickets roughly ¥2,000–3,400, sunset slots sell out weeks ahead. Tripods, selfie sticks and bags are banned on the open-air deck; professional shoots need the operator’s prior approval, so we treat this as a personal visit with light gear

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the price of a photoshoot in Shibuya?

$220 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos within 3 days. A Mandarin-speaking assistant is $70, and an extra hour $150 if you want Miyashita Park and Nonbei Yokocho or to continue to Shinjuku.

### Can we shoot in kimono in Shibuya?

You can, but there are very few rental shops nearby and kimono looks more at home in Asakusa. For Shibuya we suggest your own clothes; if kimono matters, book a kimono session in Asakusa and keep Shibuya for the evening.

### Is Shibuya suitable with children?

Yes, with the order changed: Miyashita Park has a lawn and space to run, and we keep the crossing frames to the kerb rather than walk-throughs. Strollers are easier on weekdays, when the station corridors are less packed.
