## In short

A proposal photographer in Ginza costs $280 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos within 3 days. We scout a rooftop garden — GINZA SIX or Kabukiza Tower — for the time you choose, hide among the visitors with a long lens, and photograph the moment and the portraits that follow; an extra hour ($150) takes them down to the lit streets.

Ginza’s streets are too busy for kneeling, but its roofs are not. The GINZA SIX garden on the 13th floor and the Kabukiza Tower garden on the 5th are free, planted and quiet on a weekday evening, and both leave room for a photographer to sit apart as just another visitor. Afterwards, the lit Wako clock and the evening windows are five minutes’ walk away for celebratory frames if you add an hour.

## How the shoot is planned

You take your partner up to the GINZA SIX rooftop on the pretext of a view before dinner. The photographer is already there, on a bench near the railing with Tokyo Tower in line behind your marked spot. The signal is agreed in advance — you take off your coat, for example. After the answer, we come over, and the rest of the half-hour is portraits by the railing. With an extra hour we move down to the street: the Wako corner as the clock lights, a side street of glowing windows, and a final frame outside the restaurant if dinner is nearby.

## Timing

Weekday evenings around sunset are quietest on the rooftops; weekend afternoons bring shoppers up for a break. In December sunset is about 4:30 pm, which leaves time for dinner reservations; in June it is near 7 pm. The rooftop gardens close in the evening and can shut in bad weather, so we confirm hours the week before and hold the Kabukiza garden as a backup.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does a Ginza proposal photographer cost?

$280 for 30 minutes, the rooftop scout, a timeline and signal agreed with you, and 15 edited photos within 3 days. If you want the moment on video as well, the proposal video is a separate $370 booking with a second person.

### Can we bring flowers or a sign to the rooftop?

A bouquet is fine. Signs, balloons, candles and set-ups are not, as these are shared public terraces inside commercial buildings. If you want a decorated set, we suggest a private dining room or hotel terrace instead, booked by you with photography allowed.

### What if other people are near our spot?

The photographer watches the spot and texts you a short go or wait. Two or three people in the background are normal on a rooftop and are kept out of focus. If a group settles there, we shift the marked spot a few metres along the railing.
