Optional add-ons
Added to a shoot, never sold on their own. The price is the same on every service page and in the booking form.
+$55
Kimono rental & dressing
Per person: a kimono or yukata from a rental studio near the shoot, with obi, bag and sandals, put on by the studio’s dresser. Allow 30–60 minutes before the start; hair styling is often available at the studio for a small extra.
+$100
Hair & make-up artist
Hair and make-up at your hotel before the shoot, with touch-ups on location — useful for an early Fuji sunrise or a humid June day in Kyoto.
+$150
Extra hour
Another hour of shooting, for a second place nearby or for staying on from sunset into the blue hour.
+$120
Reel add-on
One vertical reel of 15–30 seconds, filmed between frames during the photoshoot and delivered within 5 days.
+$235
Drone add-on
Aerial frames from a registered drone, only where flying can be legal — open coast and countryside, or private land with the owner’s consent. MLIT (DIPS 2.0) paperwork is included; book at least three weeks ahead.
+$80
Express 24 h delivery
The full edited gallery within 24 hours instead of the usual window — useful when you fly home the next day.
+$70
Mandarin-speaking assistant
A Mandarin-speaking assistant or photographer on the day, to direct poses, talk to rental studios and venues, and keep the group moving.

Most travel photography in Japan is quoted in a DM after you have mentioned your hotel and your dates, which means the number depends on what the photographer thinks you will pay — and in cherry-blossom week it tends to rise. A starting price published for every shoot removes that: it has to be defensible to everyone reading it, not just to you.
Prices are in US dollars and fixed when you book, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay, whatever the exchange rate does before the shoot. It covers the shoot, the editing and colour, delivery, and travel within the place you booked. The number of edited photographs is stated per service; there is no per-image charge.
What moves the price is listed: an extra hour is $150, kimono rental with dressing at a studio near the shoot $55 per person, hair and make-up $100, a 15–30-second reel $120, a drone add-on $235 where flying is legal (MLIT paperwork included), a Mandarin-speaking assistant $70, 24-hour photo delivery $80. Entry tickets and any photo fee a temple or shrine charges are not included — we arrange them and quote them before you confirm.
Nothing is due to get a quote. If rain, a typhoon or cloud over Fuji cancels the slot, the shoot moves at no cost; if we cannot deliver what was agreed, you get your money back.
