Thirty minutes covers one location and one look, usually something formal for a website or LinkedIn. A second look, something looser for social posts and talks, is added with an extra hour at $150. In Tokyo that might be a co-working space in Shibuya or Marunouchi, then the backstreets of Kuramae or Yanaka; moving between them by train takes 20 to 30 minutes, which the extra hour covers.

Cafés, shops and offices in Japan are private property, and most will say no to a photoshoot that arrives unannounced. We ask in advance, choose places that agree, and keep shots in public spaces composed so passers-by are not identifiable — Japan recognises a portrait right, and a stranger’s face in a commercial image is a risk you do not need.

Bring two tops in plain mid-tones and one jacket; fine stripes shimmer on screens. If you work with a product, a laptop or a notebook, bring it — working shots read more honestly than posed ones. Hair and make-up can be added for $100.

You receive 15 edited photos in a private online gallery within 3 days, cropped wide for websites and square for profiles.

Frequently asked questions: Personal brand photoshoot

Can we shoot inside a café or office?

Only with the owner’s permission, and many Tokyo cafés refuse professional shoots. The easier route is an hourly rental space — Tokyo has many, from machiya-style rooms to white studios — booked at cost.

Can we use the photos commercially?

Yes, for your own brand: website, social media, press, book jacket and speaker materials. Use in paid advertising or resale as stock is licensed separately; tell us at booking.
