Reels & short video in Shibuya

In short

A reels shoot in Shibuya costs from $260 for 30 minutes of filming, edited into one vertical reel of 15–30 seconds and delivered within 5 days at full resolution. The reel is built around the scramble crossing; an extra hour ($150) adds footage of Center Gai’s signage and the Yamanote trains at Miyashita Park.

Why here

Why choose Reels & short video in Shibuya?

A reel needs movement in the frame, and Shibuya supplies it on a timer: a wall of people every couple of minutes, trains sliding past a rooftop park, screens changing behind you. A reel from 30 minutes works here because the scene resets every couple of minutes, and with an extra hour the next location is within five minutes’ walk. Everything is filmed handheld on a small gimbal, since tripods are not allowed at the crossing or in the station.

How the shoot is planned

How a session in Shibuya is planned

01

The route

Before filming we agree the reel as a short script, so nothing is improvised against the clock. The base reel is the crossing: a walk-through filmed from behind and from the side over several light cycles, plus a cut-away from the corridor windows above. With an extra hour we add Center Gai, where we film transitions — a turn of the head, a hand over the lens — against shifting shop light. After that comes Miyashita Park: you on the rooftop as a green train enters the frame, timed to the Yamanote line, which passes every few minutes. We shoot extra B-roll at each stop so the edit has cutaways.

02

The timing

The crossing works best once it is dark. With an extra hour, golden hour into dusk links the scenes: Miyashita Park while there is still daylight, Center Gai as the signs come on, the crossing last. In winter that window starts around 4 pm; in summer around 6 pm. Weekday evenings give cleaner backgrounds than weekends. We avoid Halloween week and New Year’s Eve, when gatherings around the station are restricted.

FAQ — Reels & short video in Shibuya

How much does a reels shoot in Shibuya cost?

$260 for 30 minutes of filming and one edited vertical reel of 15–30 seconds, delivered within 5 days. If you also want still photos, book a photoshoot and add a reel for $120 instead.

Is the music included?

Each reel is cut to licensed music, so it can be posted without being muted. If you would rather add a trending sound inside the app, we deliver it without music instead.

Can you film at Shibuya Sky?

Not as part of a reels shoot. The rooftop bans tripods, selfie sticks and bags, and professional filming needs the operator’s approval in advance. Miyashita Park and the station corridor give the elevated shots instead.
