Why here

Why choose Solo travel photoshoot in Shibuya?

Travelling alone in Tokyo usually means a phone full of the crossing and none of you in it. A solo session in Shibuya fixes that in half an hour, and doubles as an orientation: the photographer shows you where the crossing is best seen, which exit is which, and how the lights run, then puts you in the frame. You come away knowing the district and with pictures that prove you were there.

How the shoot is planned

How a session in Shibuya is planned

01

The route

Meeting at the Hachiko statue is easy to find but crowded, so we walk straight up to the station corridor between JR and the Inokashira line to look at the crossing together before shooting it — it helps to see the rhythm first. Down on the corner, the first frames are you walking towards the camera across the stripes, then a still portrait on the kerb as the crowd passes. With an extra hour, it is then five minutes to Miyashita Park for relaxed frames on the lawn and by the tracks. If you hold a Shibuya Sky ticket for later, we end at the Scramble Square entrance so you can go straight up.

02

The timing

For the crossing alone, start around sunset, as the screens take over from the sky. With the Miyashita Park hour added, start an hour before sunset so the park still has daylight: about 3:30 pm in December and 6 pm in June. Weekdays are easier for posing on your own than Saturday evenings. Dates around Halloween and New Year’s Eve are avoided.

FAQ — Solo travel photoshoot in Shibuya

How much is a solo photoshoot in Shibuya?

$195 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos within 3 days, travel within Shibuya included. Express 24-hour delivery is $80 if you fly out the next day.

I am awkward in front of a camera. Does that matter?

Most solo travellers say the same. We keep you moving — walking, crossing, looking for the next spot — rather than holding poses, and the first ten minutes are mostly for getting used to the camera.

Is it safe to meet a photographer alone?

The whole session is in public places with heavy foot traffic, starting at one of the busiest meeting points in Tokyo. You get the photographer’s name and contact details before the day.
