Honeymoon photoshoot in Okinawa

In short

A honeymoon photoshoot in Okinawa costs $300 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos, delivered within three days. On Zamami, 50 minutes from Naha by fast ferry, we shoot Furuzamami Beach at midday for the water colour; Ama Beach and a second outfit are added with an extra hour. Ferries stop in rough seas, so keep a spare day.

Why here

Why choose Honeymoon photoshoot in Okinawa?

Many honeymooners in Okinawa spend a day in the Kerama Islands for the water — some of the clearest in Japan, a national park since 2014 — and a 30-minute shoot fits easily inside that day. Zamami has two beaches close together, one for the colour and one where sea turtles feed, so adding the second with an extra hour needs no driving at all.

How the shoot is planned

How a session in Okinawa is planned

01

The route

We travel on the same morning ferry from Tomari Port. On Zamami, Furuzamami Beach comes first, at midday when the sand and shallows are brightest: a walk along the waterline, then frames from the low rocks at one end. With an extra hour, you change at the beach facilities and we go to Ama Beach, a short walk from the port, for a second outfit in softer afternoon light. If turtles surface, we photograph from the shore — no chasing, no touching.

02

The timing

April to June is the clearest water before the summer crowds, though the rainy season, roughly May to late June, brings grey days. July to September is the peak of typhoon season, and a typhoon can stop ferries for two or three days. October and November keep the water warm with calmer seas. From January to March, humpback whales winter around the Keramas — whale-watching boats leave from Zamami.

FAQ — Honeymoon photoshoot in Okinawa

How much is a honeymoon photoshoot on Zamami?

$300 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos within three days. The photographer’s return ferry fare is added at cost; book the fast ferry early in summer, as it sells out.

What happens if the ferry is cancelled?

We move the shoot to your spare day, or switch it to a beach on the main island such as Sesoko at no charge. If neither works, the session is refunded in full.

Can you photograph us snorkelling with turtles?

This is a land and shallow-water session; we do not shoot underwater. Turtles off Ama Beach often surface close in, and we can catch you and a turtle in one frame from the shore — at a distance that does not disturb it.
