Honeymoon photoshoot in Hokkaido

In short

A honeymoon photoshoot at Lake Toya costs $300 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos, delivered within three days. It covers one place and one outfit: your hotel — room and, with permission, the garden or terrace — or the lakeshore below it. With an extra hour we do both, with time to change built in. It works in every season.

Why here

Why choose Honeymoon photoshoot in Hokkaido?

Honeymooners in Hokkaido tend to stay put for a night or two at an onsen lake, and Lake Toya suits a short shoot because the hotel and the shore are minutes apart. It is also one of the few places where a winter honeymoon gets open water: the caldera lake does not freeze, and Mt Yotei shows to the north on clear days.

How the shoot is planned

How a session in Hokkaido is planned

01

The route

At the hotel the frames are indoors and close: your room with the lake in the window, then a terrace or garden if the hotel agrees — we ask on your behalf, and never in the baths. With an extra hour, after 15–20 minutes to change, we walk down to the shore for the second look: a jetty or the lakeside path with Nakajima island behind, and Mt Yotei if the sky is clear. In summer the last frames can wait for the fireworks over the water.

02

The timing

Sunrise from the south shore is the calmest light, but late afternoon, after check-in, is often easier to fit in. From late April to October fireworks are launched over the lake most evenings, which suits a session that ends after dark. In winter the shore is snowy and the water dark and open; we keep outdoor frames to 20-minute blocks. Autumn colour around the caldera rim comes in October.

FAQ — Honeymoon photoshoot in Hokkaido

How much is a honeymoon photoshoot at Lake Toya?

$300 for 30 minutes and 15 edited photos within three days, covering one place and one outfit; a second is added with an extra hour. Hair and makeup is $100 if you want it; a stylist can come to the hotel.

Can you photograph us in the hotel’s onsen?

Not in shared baths, ever. If your room has its own open-air bath, or the hotel agrees to a private-hire bath booked for you, a few covered frames are possible; we confirm with the hotel first.

Is Lake Toya easy to reach from Sapporo?

About two hours by car or by JR to Toya station and a short bus ride. It pairs well with Niseko or Noboribetsu, rather than going back and forth to Sapporo.
